A Firm Foundation

Our Church for the Generations

A Firm Foundation is Trinity-by-the-Cove's capital campaign to build a new and faithfully replicated church, elevated and strengthened to withstand flood and wind, so that worship and parish life may continue for generations to come.

Why We Must Build Anew

In just the past few years, repeated storm surge has inundated our sanctuary, causing more than $2 million in damage. After careful study, prayer, listening, and consultation, the Vestry affirmed a clear and faithful path forward: to replicate and elevate our beloved church, preserving its beauty while protecting it for generations to come.

Flood + Wind Resilience

A new sanctuary built above flood levels and to the highest modern codes, protecting our worship from future storms.

Faithful Replication

The church we love-lifted, strengthened, and renewed-so it feels familiar while being built to last.

A Ministry Decision

Not simply a building project, but safeguarding worship, music, pastoral care, formation, and outreach.

A Tradition Carried Forward

When Trinity-by-the-Cove's original cornerstone was laid, the names of those who made that moment possible were placed within it-faithfully recorded as a witness for generations yet to come. As we move forward with A Firm Foundation, we are continuing that tradition.

Those who join in this campaign will have their names included in the cornerstone of the new church-a lasting sign of gratitude and a tangible reminder that this work is built on the faith and generosity of God's people.
