Worship at Trinity-by-the-Cove

Worship on Sundays

Sunday worship is at the heart of our life together at Trinity-by-the-Cove. We gather to pray, hear Scripture, sing, and share Holy Communion-rooted in the Episcopal tradition and open to all.

New here? Our worship includes a mix of traditional liturgy, choral music, and prayerful reflection-all in a welcoming atmosphere.

Choose a Service Experience

Traditional language • Quiet & prayerful

Holy Eucharist - Rite I

Our early service uses the Rite I Eucharistic Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer. This prayer uses traditional language with "thees" and "thous." Don't let the early hour keep you away-a warm and friendly welcome awaits you.

Choir & organ • Classic Anglican worship

Holy Eucharist - Rite II (in the Church)

In the church we use the Rite II Eucharistic Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer together with a full choir and organ. If you love congregational singing and a rich liturgical tradition, this service may be a perfect fit.

Waterfront Worship

Waterfront Worship offers a prayerful service with a more contemporary feel. We use a variety of prayers and often feature guitars, flute, and violin accompanying hymns ancient and modern-overlooking the water and, once a month, outside on the dock.

This service runs concurrently with the Holy Eucharist Rite II service in the church, offering two distinct worship settings at the same hour.

Choir & organ • Late morning

Holy Eucharist - Rite II (late service)

Prefer a later start? This service mirrors our Rite II liturgy in the church with full choir and organ. Make it part of a your Sunday-sleep a little later, enjoy a slow coffee, and come ready to worship.

Saturday evening • Contemplative

Saturday Vigil Service

Calling a service a vigil is simply a way to express that it is on the eve of Sunday. Using the same readings as the Sunday liturgies, the vigil service has a contemplative feel, enhanced by a cantor and organ.
